Supplies Needed

Baby Boom from Fiesta Yarns (90% extra fine super wash merino – 10% nylon – 4oz – 113g – 440yd – 402m)

1 (2, 2, 3, 3) hanks in #54 Shelled Pecan
The Crochet Dude® Size K/10.5-6.5mm hook from Boye®
21” stitched faux leather
Sewing needle & thread in coordinating color
Sewing pins

Gauge

Gauge 14 sts = 4” in hdc (check gauge and adjust hook size if necessary)

Pattern

Row 1: Ch 186, hdc in 2nd ch from hook and into ea ch across, turn Row 2: Ch 1, hdc in back loop of ea st across, turn
Rows 3-25 (28, 31, 34, 37): Rep row 2
Next row: Ch 5, *dc in back loop of next st, ch 3, rep from * across, turn Next 2 rows: Ch 5, *dc in next ch-3 loop, ch 3, rep from * across, turn Fasten off

 

Cut Leather

Following the illustration cut leather to correspond.

Assembly

Pin center of foundation row of crocheted fabric to center of neckline of leather. With sewing thread and needle attach pieces together across entire neckline. Being careful not to twist the crocheted fabric, line up the end of the fabric with the bottom of

the leather piece and stitch together the 7” from the bottom to the armhole. Weave in all ends.
