The Crochet Dude Ergo Hook size H-8 (5mm)

Manos del Uruguay Manos Cotton Stria Worsted Weight (Medium) –

GAUGE

14 sts & 12 rows = 4” using size H crochet hook

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

Bust – 35″, (37.5″, 40″, 42.5″, 45″)
Length – 20”

DIRECTIONS

PANEL A (make 2)
Row 1: Ch 47, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (46 sc)
Row 2 Ch 2, turn, *skip one st, dc in the next three sts, dc in skipped st working behindthe previous sts*. Repeat from * to * across. Dc in last st.
Row 3: Ch 2, turn, *skip one st, dc in next three sts, dc in skipped st working in front of the previous sts*. Repeat from * to * across. Dc in last st.
Rows 4-8: Repeat rows 2 & 3, ending with Row 2.
Row 9: Ch 1, turn sc in each st across. Fasten off.

PANEL B (make 2)
Row 1: Ch 163, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (162 sc)
Row 2 Ch 2, turn, *skip one st, dc in next three sts, dc in skipped st working behind the previous sts*. Repeat from * to * across. Dc in last st.
Row 3: Ch 2, turn, *skip one st, dc in next three sts, dc in skipped st working in front of the previous sts*. Repeat from * to * across. Dc in last st.
Rows 4-9: Repeat Rows 2 & 3.
Rows 10: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across. Fasten off.

ASSEMBLING AND FINISHING
With wrong sides facing, whipstitch panels together as indicated by the chart below. Using a sc edge garment evenly around neckline, armholes and bottom edge with novelty yarn if desired, otherwise use the same yarn used for the vest. (Note that Panels A & B are attached at both the front and the back of the vest.)
