The baffy might be the least used of the woods in your golf bag, but isn’t that all the more reason to protect it with a great-looking cover? These protectors are designed to fit all your woods, so make as many as you need.

You Will Need
Color A: 143yd/131m of super bulky weight yarn, in tan
Color B: 100yd/ 92m of super bulky weight yarn, in multi-color variegated

Shown in: Red Heart Grande, 100% acrylic, 6oz/170g = 143yd/130m per skein
(A) 1 skein, Linen (#2332)
(B) 1 skein, Polo Multi (#2920)

Hook: 6.50mm (size K-101⁄2 U.S.) (or size to obtain gauge)

Instructions

Top
With B, ch 2.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, turn—1 sc.
Row 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in next sc, turn-2sc.
Row 3: Ch 2, 2 sc in ea sc across, turn-4sc.
Row 4: Ch 1, 2 sc in first sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in last sc, turn—6 sc.
Row 5: Ch 1, 2 sc in first sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in last sc, turn—8 sc.
Row 6: Ch 1, 2 sc in first sc, hdc in next 2 sc, dc in next 2 sc, hdc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in last sc, turn—10 sts.
Row 7: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in next st, hdc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in next 2 sts, hdc in next 2 sts, sc in next st, 2 sc in last st, do not turn—14 sts.

Sides

Rnd 1: Work 1 more sc in same st, working through the ends of the rows, sc evenly down side of Top, work 4 sc in foundation ch, working through the ends of the rows, sc evenly up side of Top to beginning of row 7, work 1 more sc in first st of row 7, sl st in first sc to join
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in BL only of ea st around, sl st in first sc to join—32 sc. Fasten off.
Rnd 3: Join A with sc in BL of any st, sc in BL only of ea st around, do not join. Work in a spiral. Place marker at beg of rnd, and move marker up as work progresses.
Rnds 4–12: Sc in BL only of ea st around. At end of rnd 12, sl st in next sc to join. Fasten off.
Rnd 13: With RS facing, join Color B with a sl st to BL of any st, ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in BL only of ea st around, join with a sl st to top of beginning ch-3—32 dc.
Rnd 14: Working through both lps of sts, ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in ea st around, join with a sl st to top of beginning ch-3.
Rnd 15: Ch 4, skip next dc, *dc in next dc, ch 1, skip next dc; rep from * around, sl st to 3rd ch of beginning ch-4 to join.
Rnd 16: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in ea dc and ea ch-1 space around, sl st to top of beginning ch-3 to join.
Fasten off.

Drawstring
With Color A, ch 61, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in ea ch across. Fasten off.

Assemble
Weave drawstring in and out of spaces created in rnd 15, tie ea end of drawstring in an overhand knot. Weave in ends.
