Special instructions. The dc in rnds 3 and 4 are worked in between the sts of the previous rnds.
Ch5, slip st to first ch to form ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, 8 sc in loop. Slip st to first sc. (8 sc)
Rnd 2: Ch 5 (counts as first dc and ch 2), dc in same space. 2 dc in next st, * (dc, ch2, dc) in next st, 2 dc in next st * three times. Slip st to third ch of beginning ch 5. (16 dc, 4 ch2 spaces)
Rnd 3: Slip st into corner space. Ch 3, (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same st (corner made). Dc in between next 4 sts. * (2 dc, ch2, 2 dc) in corner space. Dc in between next 4 sts. * 3 times. Slip st to top of beginning ch 3. (28 dc, 4 ch2 spaces)
Rnd 4: Slip st in next st and into corner space. Ch 3, (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same st (corner made). Dc in between next 7 sts. * (2 dc, ch2, 2 dc) in corner space. Dc in between next 7 sts. * 3 times. Slip st to top of beginning ch 3. (40 dc, 4 ch2 spaces)
Rnd 5: Slip st in next st and into corner space. Ch 1, 3 sc in same space, sc between each dc around, working 3 sc in each corner space. Slip st into beginning sc. (48 sc)
Rnd 6: Slip st in next st. Ch3 (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same st. * (Ch1, skip 1 st, dc in next st) 5 times. Ch 1, skip next st (2 dc, ch2, 2 dc) in corner sc.* twice. (Ch1, skip 1 st, dc in next st) 5 times. Slip st in top of beginning ch 3. (36 dc)
Rnd 7: Slip st in next st and into corner space. Ch1, 3sc in same space. Sc in each st and each space around working 3 sc in each corner space. Slip st to first sc. (72 sc) Fasten off.
